Review Part 2 : GARNIER PURE ACTIVE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER

I was meaning to do a post on this product a while ago already however, I never got around to it and now I finally can! You all know by now that I’m a huge fan of Garnier’s products because I’ve mentioned it in part 1 of this post as well as the post on Garnier’s BB Creams.

About this product: Micellar Cleansing Water is an easy way to remove make-up, cleanse and purify the skin, eye area and lips in one step without rinsing.

How does it work: For the first time, Garnier Micellar technology is formulated specifically for combination to oily and sensitive skin. Like a magnet, the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt, make-up and excess sebum from the skin. Enriched with purifying agents, it helps fight the appearance of impurities. The skin feels refreshed with no need to rub to cleanse and remove make-up.

What I Think: On the bottle, it states that this product is for combination to oily and sensitive skin, which is great for me because my skin changes all the time, and most of the time it changes to oily and I tend to get breakouts. I love the packaging, the water looks like a pale pastel blue colour and it has a pop-up lid that shuts to prevent leakage. This Micellar Cleansing Water removes my makeup very well without irritation or redness and makes my skin feel cleansed and refreshed. In the past I never bought makeup remover products, I only made use of coconut oil which worked really well for me and when I first saw the Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water I was in love the packaging, but skeptical in purchasing this product. The reason I was skeptical at first was because I’m super cheap (lol) and I was definitely not going to waste money on water (lol) however, I went on google and read up on a few reviews, and from what I read it sounded good and I just thought what the hell, I’m going to get it. I bought the product and thought Garnier has never let me down once, and you know what? I love this product! To hell with coconut oil (lol) Micellar Cleansing Water all the way and now I can’t stop using it. This bottle is 400ml = 200 uses, comes from a good brand and it’s very affordable.

If you are not using Garnier’s Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water then you are missing out because this product will Change your life!

How to use it: Apply  the product to a cotton pad and wipe the face, eyes and lips. No rinsing required.

MAKEUP EXPIRATION GUIDE

Did you know makeup has an expiry date? Well guess what, it does and I had no clue (lol). I find it extremely hard to get rid of old makeup because I'm obsessed with it and I like having them look all pretty on my dresser, but using expired makeup can be harmful to your skin.

Over a period of time the consistency of makeup products starts to change and expired makeup begins to harbour bacteria. Using expired makeup on your skin can cause eye infections, blisters, a rash, acne, redness and various skin problems. Therefore, we should really try and not use makeup products after a certain period of time to protect our skin. So let's toss out those old expired one and gets some new ones.

Below is a guideline for expired makeup.

REVIEW: CATRICE ALLROUND CONCEALER

CATRICE ALLROUND CONCEALER

Hello my beauties J Firstly I'd like to apologize for being M. I. A (missing in action) for the pass few weeks, I've just been dealing with some personal issues I've been having and I've been a bit down about certain situations  which has cause me not to blog, but those things shall pass and it's time to get back to blogging J

Today I would like to do a review on a product I've been using for more than a month now and it's called the CATRICE ALLROUND CONCEALER. I don't own a lot of Catrice products, but the ones I do have I really love and I'm very happy with them, so I plan on purchasing many more products from Catrice.

What They Say: A whole palette of options to always look great. With this set of five shades, it’s easy to even out small skin irregularities (beige shades), magic away dark shadows under your eyes (pink shades) and cover up redness (green shade). And application is super pleasant thanks to the creamy texture.

What I Think: This product is always in my bag, I like it and it works well.  The application is very creamy and smooth, I only use green and the pink, but the green shade I use a lot to cover up my redness and it does a pretty good job covering it up as well as the pink shade with my dark shadows under my eyes, it's pretty great.  The other three shades I don't use and I honestly don't know why I haven't use them (lol) The main reason I bought this was because the packaging is so cute and it's a concealer palette and I have a thing for makeup palettes (lol). Overall I love Catrice Cosmetics and I really like this product especially the two shades I use and it's great for when you on the go because then you don't have to travel with so many concealers, you can just throw this into your bag and you will be good to go. Also, Catrice Cosmetics are an affordable brand, inexpensive and great for when you on a budget. I think that you should go out and give the Catrice Allround Concealer a try and let me know your thoughts on this product.

REVIEW: L.A. GIRL LUXURY CREME LIPSTICK - DREAMER

About a month or two ago I stumble upon the L.A Girl Luxury Crème Lipstick called Dreamer which is a black lipstick and I’ve been looking everywhere for black lipstick and couldn’t find it anywhere until now. I was super excited when I finally found black lipstick and ever since I bought it, it has just been lying in my dresser because I like to admire makeup for a while before I start messing with them lol. However, I finally decided to use it and here are my thoughts on this particular lipstick.

What they say: Luxury Creme' Lipstick delivers ultra-rich colors in a lightweight formula. Its blend of moisturizing ingredients of aloe, shea butter & vitamin E enhances lips, leaving a smoother, healthier feel. Glides on effortlessly with the slant top, for-flawless even coverage.

What I think: When I saw that L.A Girl has a black lipstick I was so over the moon that grabbed it and ran to the counter because I’ve always wanted black lipstick but could never find one. However, when I wore the lipstick for the first time I was very disappointed because when you apply it, it’s patchy and it takes a while to even out. I used a black liner to line my lips and I coloured my bottom lip with the black liner and then layered the black lipstick on top but it looked messing. The lipstick isn’t long lasting so once you done eating or drinking something you have to re-apply the colour. I personally am not happy with this lipstick but I do know that L.A Girl has another black lipstick in their Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick called Raven which I hoping to get my hands on and hopefully I will love that one. Also, if you guys know of any other place I can get a good black lipstick please let know by leaving a comment on this post.

Here I lost count of how many times I applied the lipstick to get it this dark lol.

What I Think: OMW I’m obsessed with this lipstick from Essence and if Essence should ever discontinue this lipstick I will die! I’m a huge fan of essence and I have tons of their products however, my number 1 products are their lipliners and lipsticks. I’m crazy about the 06 Barely There Lipstick that I have backups of them just incase they are discontinued lol (I’m crazy like that lol) I just cannot go without it. The lipstick is very creamy, very smooth, goes on evenly and last very long not matter how much food I eat, what I really love about it is that it doesn’t settle into the cracks of your dry lips, it hydrates your lips making it smooth and luscious. The packaging of this lipstick is so cute with its matte black finish with an Essence logo on it making it look really sleek. The colour is a nude with pinkish undertone I’d say, it’s a gorgeous colour which goes perfect with the Essence 05 Soft Berry lipliner which I also have backups on lol. This lipstick as well as the soft berry lipliner is a 10 out of 10, it’s affordable, the texture is gorgeous and it comes from an amazing brand that I will recommend any day. So if you looking for a very good lipstick at an affordable price then head down to the mall go and grab some lipsticks from Essence, you will not be disappointed!
